We all feel stressed sometimes. This stress effects us both physically and mentally.

Stress can be a positive thing.  Excitement before a big date or an important business meeting is the kind of stress that allows us to focus on details.  A certain level of stress makes us watchful parents & careful drivers.  The adrenaline rush we feel during times of danger is the way our body makes certain that we are ready to take action.  And we all know that those sudden "gut feelings" we have can save us from making bad decisions or putting ourselves in danger.

On the other hand, too much stress, or stress without reason, has negative effects on our ability to think clearly, to sleep, even to relate to others. Stressful reactions can cause or exacerbate physical ailments such as allergies, headaches, arthritis and ulcers.  Studies have shown a connection between stress management and cancer remission.  Learning to deal with your stress will make you more effective and could even save your life!

I'd like to share a few simple things you can do to alleviate the stress you're feeling today.  Making these actions a part of your daily life will keep you happier, healthier and more able to deal with life's challenges as you travel your path.

Go for a walk.                   Stand up and stretch.                       Laugh out loud.

Read some poetry.                Forgive someone.

Make a list of your blessings.                                                     Tell a joke.

Take a nap.        Lie in the grass and watch the clouds.         Sing.

Make love.                                   Listen to the birds.

     Say "thank you" to someone.

Keep a journal.               Practice yoga.                   Breathe deeply.

DANCE!!!!!!!!!
